having recently discovering Groundation several months ago,via a friend, i have been hooked ever since-- ive been a long time root reggae fan with bob marley being a truly great inspiration to me along with israel vibration and steel pulse-- the jazz fusion is a bold move that has me blown away!! -- the crisp rythem section and jazz horns and piano/keyboard really have been put together seamlessly with a classic bass and powerful lyrics of politics, symbolism and mysticism that has me dying to watch a live performance!! when will Groundation ever come down to Texas?again? San Antonio or Austin maybe?? -- ok now all those lucky enough to have been more aware of this great new band please tell me how many times i have missed them in austin already-- just curious :) --what really pumps me up about this band is not only how great their music is but how young and focused they are i really anticipate experiencing this bands evolution-- truly a bright new torch for the original reggae spirit i feel Groundation has-- hope to see them soon!

they tend to stick to the west coast and hawaii (and europe more recently).... i'm not sure about down south but i know they never tour the east coast because they don't like it! (and i can't really blame them...)

i'm so glad you discovered groundation.... they changed my life truly =)

has anyone listened to dub wars yet?

That's absolutely not true that they don't like the East Coast. I work with Groundation and Young Tree Records and they've always expressed an interest in touring the East coast. In fact they were supposed to tour the nation last May with Don Carlos and Apple Gabriel, but circumstances beyond their control did not permit that and they ended up touring with just Apple and sticking to the California and Hawaii. Unfortunately I think the window for a tour like that is closed because they are so busy these days with scheduled touring and another album in the works. My advice is to send them e-mails with your desire to see them. They do get read and considered. Give thanks for everyones support.

I received an early copy of Dub Wars and was blown away. I love all kinds of reggae, but I really love what they've done with their music. They strive to be unique and have their own sound and for that I have a lot of respect. If you look in the thank yous you'll see my name and I'm very proud to have it there.
